Our Services

Cardiology & Electrocardiography

We offer cardiology services, including echocardiography, in case the need arises to treat your pet for diseases of the cardiovascular system, which includes the heart and blood vessels.

Dental Care

Your pet’s teeth and gums should be examined at least once per year to detect early signs of periodontal disease or tooth decay. Dental disease is easy to prevent, but many pets suffer from this because teeth cleanings are often overlooked. Regular dental care can prevent pain and expensive procedures and extractions down the road.

At Northside Animal Hospital, we are fully equipped with specialized equipment, anesthesia, and medications to handle everything from teeth cleanings to complex oral cavities for canines, felines and pocket pets. Our dental services include:
  • Scaling and polishing
  • Periodontal surgery
  • Gingivectomy
  • Extractions

Laser Therapy

Laser therapy is an advanced treatment option used for a variety of disease processes, including Osteoarthritis, Hip dysplasia, chronic/acute pain or trauma, skin conditions, ear infections, post-surgical healing, wound/laceration healing, and much more.

Laser therapy offers a drug-free approach to aid in treatment plans for our furry loved ones who may be suffering from pain. Laser therapy can reduce healing time through the reduction of inflammation and cell regeneration.

Non-Invasive Diagnostics

Endoscopy
If your pet is demonstrating symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, weight loss, abdominal pain or swelling or loss of appetite we may recommend an endoscopy. The purpose of an endoscopy procedure is to explore the esophagus, stomach, small intestine and colon in order to diagnose gastrointestinal disease. If an abnormality is detected during the procedure, a biopsy sample may be collected for further analysis. If your pet is demonstrating these symptoms, call us to discuss your options.

Radiology and Ultrasound
We offer medical imaging to aid in the diagnosis of many different conditions. Radiographs and ultrasound are painless and noninvasive ways to evaluate organs and bones, allowing us to better understand what is occurring in a pet’s body. In some cases, medical imaging can detect conditions and situations that may otherwise have gone undetected for months or years. Our state-of-the-art radiology and ultrasound are conducted by our trained and compassionate staff, making it both safe and effective.
